Deadman Footswitch - Short Product Review

Deadman Foot Switch
The cable that goes off to the right plugs into the wall.

I saw this MLCS 9080 Billy Pedal Footswitch on Amazon and thought “Hey, that would be great for my Dremel tool!”  Unfortunately, I completely forgot my wife got me a cordless Dremel for Christmas and I had already given my corded unit to my brother.  So, seeing as it was already on its way when I realized my error, I decided to try it out on my airbrush.

Outside Avenues of 40k Knowledge for Joe N00b

stack-of-books
When you are new at something you are forced to get help anywhere you can.  I read a lot of the 40k blogs, I ask questions down at the local shop (Frontlinegaming.org), and I try to apply information and knowledge gleaned elsewhere to help improve my game as well as my modeling skills.

Blasted Planet – Volcano Lighting Effects

In this installment, part 2 of the  Blasted Planet series of posts, I’ll be covering the flickering magma lighting effects that will emanate from the magma tube.  The effect has a few great uses: inside flaming wreck models, the flickering eyes of a daemon engine, anywhere you want to give the impression of a raging fiery heat source.

The Amazing Table Top Community

I haven’t been in the table top gaming realm very long.  But, I have noticed one thing: table top gamers are among the most supportive groups I’ve been a part of.  Second only to the progressive rock band I was in for 22 years.

Getting Green Stuff Industries moving is a giant pain… fun, mind you, but a pain nevertheless.  I think if I were to try and start a business in any other area/industry, things would be far more difficult and… cutthroat.

Everywhere I go… on the internet, to the game stores, out and about in the world… I have yet to meet someone in the this community who is not ready to help with a rules clarification, a design improvement for the Tentacle Maker, or provide info on how to sculpt or paint something.  It is truly amazing!

And so, I think it appropriate to say “Thanks!” and “Keep up the good work!”

I just finished my squad of converted Plague Marines!  You may have already seen some of them in the previous Sculpting Tools and Tips post from about a month ago.
