Easy Plasmaguns For Imperial Guardsmen

by Rich K.

I needed 3 traitor Imperial Guardsman with plasma guns and I wasn't going to buy 3 command squads to get them.  I had the guardsman and exactly 4 Chaos Space Marine plasma pistols so I set to work bashing them together.  I don't remember seeing anyone else do this conversion (though it's very likely that some one has) but I thought it came out well and you guys would like to see how to do it.

First, cut the hand, grip, and trigger combo off of the plasma pistol like you see above.  You may also need to shave the butt end of the pistol a bit.  File/cut down the surfaces and make them as smooth as possible.

Next, cut the Lasgun in the following order based on the picture above:  Red, Blue, Yellow.  If you are careful, it is possible leave the fingers intact.  You'll also probably have to shave off a small portion of the remaining Imperial emblem.

Once you glue them together you'll end up with something like this!  This works great for using up any extra plasma pistols you have laying around.  Happy bashing!

  2. Great conversion, I used the same technique with an imperial plasma pistol to make some Praetorian Plasmagunners seen at the bottom of the post here,

  4. These are also variations on the same theme. I'm partial to the Flamer/vox kitbash, but it's mine, so I'm biased.

    1. I really like the powerpack back pack idea. I would've stolen it had I seen it before! Nice work, Valhallan!
