Rusty Robot's recently released "Who Goes There?" is just plain amazing work! I'm only posting a selection of photos from this work, there's far more to see on his original post. Hearken to the magic below the jump!
Rusty Robot recently posted a great bit of wisdom on how he photographs his dioramas. I urge you to check it out.
Evil Fluffy Creatures
Marlon, a long time contributor to GSI, has recently launched an English version of his Portuguese (Brazilian) site called Evil Fluffy Creatures.
He's re-posting his more popular material for us English speakers. There are currently three posts on how he Possessed the Landraider shown above. Check it out as there are some really stunning ideas on daemonifying vehicles.
Marlon's most popular contribution to GSI is his Defiler Kit Bash.
This is some truly stupefying work!
Now for the obligatory commercial...
....aaaaaaaand we're back!
GTGT Sculpting Class Is No More
In the bad news category, my sculpting class for the Golden Throne GT (now cancelled and absorbed into the Bay Area Open) has been... well, cancelled. There are two reasons for this:
- I had already committed to supporting the Dropzone Commander Demos (and I'm in the tournament, as well) at the BAO.
- Sign-ups as of last week were far below what was necessary to continue.
Dropzone Commander
As stated above, I've started playing Dropzone Commander which is a really impressive game. Far less complex than 40k, very balanced, easily transportable, and most importantly: the rules make sense.
I'll be writing up my PHR army WIPs as I go. I have 4 Tritons (the ships directly behind the big one, above) that are nearly done and they look pretty good.
I'm really trying to finish the army before the BAO, but I don't think that's likely. Being a 10mm scale game, the models are sorta hard to paint well and quickly. But, I may have hit upon a process last night that will allow me to move forward at a good clip.

I'll keep you posted!
Good stuff, definitely looking forward to seeing the DZC WIPs.
