Lictor Pose Conversion
By Ron Smiley
Hey everyone!
Ron here with the Facing The Grey Tide blog and today I'm posting a Lictor pose conversion I'm working. I'm running Lictorshame like all the other bandwagoneers these days, and I don't want to settle for 6 with the same identical "I'm hiding in plain sight" stance. So this is the beginning of my journey to create 6 individualized Lictors in all sorts of dynamic, stalker-ish poses (Lictors in the fluff are big time creepers hiding in the bushes and whatnot, not standing straight up in the open with jazz hands). I hope these posts inspire some crazy Lictor conversions of your own!

Vorax Class Battle Automata - Guest WIP
Word Bearer of The Autoforge blog recently sent me an email link to a WIP blog post for his Vorax conversion. I don't usually post a lot of WIP stuff outside of what I'm currently working on but I like the imagination of this one. Below is the text from his email...

C'tan Conversion
by Monkeychuka
This is probably a bad time to start getting into Necrons, what with all the anticipated Tyranid releases. The Toxicrene/Maleceptor is out this weekend and I should be clearing the decks and breaking out the magnets. I even bought White Dwarf for the first time in nearly a year and I actually didn't regret it.

MonkeyChucka's Amazing Malanthrope!
This morning we have a re-post of a couple of posts by Monkey Chucka over at the Chucking Monkeys blog. This is an extremely impressive conversion and paint job... don't miss it!
Whilst attending a Warhammer 40k tournament recently, a friend walked up to me and said, "I've got something which I think you'll like". He held up what looked like a small, perspex box.

40k Terrain - Mechanical Warhorse Comms Tower
by Novus
I got hold of a Mechanical Warhorse Communication Tower kit at the BAO 2014 and, like nearly all my other hobby projects, got to it long after the fact. It's an excellent laser cut kit at a very reasonable price. Paints up really nice, too!

How To Make Crushable Coke Cans
Guest Post by Rusty Robot
As hoped, Rusty Robot is sharing a simple technique for modeling crushed beverage cans! In the test image of his latest diorama above, you can see one in the background. These little cans can make a base or terrain piece really pop with detail.

High Praise From The Internets!
Firstly, that fantastic modeler and painter, TJ, over at Dark Future Games has a bunch of nice things to say in a recent post about my Tentacle Makers! He also posted a grip of his photos and some from the GSI Gallery. There's even some good things said in the comments section!
Secondly, the (in)famous and highly skilled Goatboy showed off what can be done with Tentacle Maker tools in a recent post on Bell of Lost Souls. Some amazing work, there! Even more good things said in the comments here, too!
Thanks, guys!

Bringing Balance to the Models - Or Shifting Away From It
Marlon of AssaultTuesdays.com
Ok, this idea is not originally mine. I stumbled upon it when I was looking for good tutorials about how to make Greenstuff flames (you can find a great one here). The airborne dragon in the site's example pictures got me thinking about how could I build and paint the 40k version of such an amazing composition...so...

Great DKOK Conversion at FTW
Ron over at From The Warp just posted a great Death Korps of Krieg Grenadier conversion that uses a Tentacle Maker SAW-020 in the build. I don't usually do a lot of self-promotion but this tutorial is really well put together and for us conversion n00bs (i.e., those of us who are not Ron) , it gives a great framework to work from. Give it a look!
